CtK is a Presbyterian Church
The word Presbyterian comes from the Greek word for “elder” and refers to our form of church government. Presbyterian churches are led by presbyters, or elders and are connected to other Presbyterian churches for ministry, government and care through “courts.”
Christ the King is a mission church of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), which has three courts. Elders represent the people of the church to lead and govern together at the local-church level in a session, at regional levels in presbyteries and at a national, denominational level in the General Assembly.
