  1. Wow! Thank you for addressing several of my spoken and unformed fears and questions about community. Living in a metropolitan area, being involved in several communities and having a family to care for has ironically left me community less. I don’t know how to balance it all. I believe in community in theory and have left it to others to enjoy. I’m not sure where God is leading but I’m listening.

    • Jill, thanks for the comment. It’s both understandable and ironic why the care of our souls has become a largely individualistic effort. Burned by so many well-meaning (or not) people leaves us scared to try vulnerability again. Yet the penchant (innate or learned) for concealing our inner desperations only leaves us worse off. We’re taking our first fledgling steps toward creating some small safe spaces for this kind of community. God will lead.
