Picnic this Sunday!

We’re gathering at Armstrong Park this Sunday between 11:30-1:30 for our first outdoor first sunday fellowship in a while.  Bring your lawn games, your frisbees, your footballs–even your bounce houses, if you have one. (We can dream)

Sheri McMillan is our go-to woman on this event.  Feel free to email her with questions.

As per her instructions:

Note this will be Rain or Shine, as we have a covered pavilion, so pray for sunshine! The church is paying for the pavilion rental and we will each be bringing a covered dish(s). Paper goods and ice will be provided.

Suggestions for what to bring:

last names A-K bring a main dish for 8-10 people

last names L-Z bring two vegetables, fruits or salads for 8-10 people

singles bring dessert plus bread or drinks (2 liter soda, gallon water or tea)

* It would also be helpful if you bring a serving utensil (if needed) for your dish (with your name on it)

This should allow plenty for everyone, including visitors. Cold or hot things can be kept that way in a cooler during church. Sandwiches are a main dish. If you still need an oven/fridge near the park, you can contact me (we’re about a mile from the church and park). We’ll also have a section of the “banquet table” for special diets, so bring what you can eat and mark it “vegan, gluten free, Lafferty, etc.”(cute, Sheri)

Pack some summer clothes with you for church and join us after worship!
